Many clients choose to pay privately because it offers greater privacy, flexibility, and control over their care. Unlike insurance, self-pay does not require a mental health diagnosis or treatment that meets insurance-defined medical necessity. This allows therapy to focus on your child's unique needs and goals.
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement amounts vary by plan, so I encourage you to contact your insurance provider to learn about your benefits.
I am in the beginning process of becoming credentialed with Premera, Regence, and Aetna insurance companies. Credentialing typically takes 60-120 days occassionally longer, depending on the company. Until I am in-network, sessions are offered on a self-pay basis at $175 per session, with Superbills available upon request for clients using out-of-network benefits.
